Carolyn Yim Chue Wai

Associate Professor Dr Carolyn Yim Chue Wai is part of the academic staff of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. She is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre, a tertiary hospital located in Klang Valley, Selangor, Malaysia.

Her sub-speciality training is in the field of Obstetric Anaesthesia with a main interest in High Risk Obstetrics Anaesthesia especially in the field of Abnormal Placentation. She holds the administrative role of Head of Unit of Obstetric Anaesthetic Services. Her other interest is in the field of Neuroanaesthesia, especially with regards to Awake Craniotomies for Deep Brain Stimulation for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. She is a Physiology examiner for the National Conjoint Primary Exams. She has dabbled in the area of writing in academic journals.
