Welcome Message

Dr Regunathan Villanayer
President
MAPACS

It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 25th Annual Scientific Meeting and the 38th Annual General Meeting of the Malaysian Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons. This year, we again have opted to have this meeting fully virtual as we navigate ourselves in the evolving nature of life in the era of Covid 19 endemicity.

This meeting has again brought together an array of international and local speakers. The topics being covered entail a wide range of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery which will interest all of us. It will be a platform to learn new concepts and techniques and to reflect on our own practice in order to succeed in these changing times.

As before, there is a dedicated free paper session and an e-poster arena to encourage the participation of medical officers and trainees in presenting at a national meeting. It will also be a platform to encourage new ideas and innovations to be discussed and assessed by our peers.

I am again very pleased that there has been a very strong response for participation at the virtual trade exhibition. Our industry partners have also been very keen to participate at the live sessions where a few invited speakers are presenting on various new products which are being launched into the Malaysian market.

I would like to wish you an informative and enjoyable conference and hope that the experience we gain can give us hope in the reality of the times we face as we move to the new normality in the year to come.
