Point-of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is an accepted modality in emergency and critical care. There have been many emergency ultrasound protocols e.g., Extended Focused Assessment with Sonographyfor Trauma (EFAST), Bedside Lung Ultrasound in Emergency (BLUE), Rapid Ultrasound for Shock and Hypotension (RUSH) and Focused Echocardiography in Emergency Life Support (FEEL) described in the literature. POCUS has been described in the management of septic shock, identification of the septic source, procedural guidance and source control.
