The COVID-19 outbreak has taken us all by storm and ravaged all parts of Malaysia including State of Perak. Emergency & Trauma Department (ETD) in hospitals are not spared as well since this department act as front door to all patients needing urgent medical care. Hence, exposing ETD to a sudden outbreak if proper plans are not implemented early to tackle this issue. This presentation serves to share experience in managing COVID-19 in a hospital remotely known to the clinician. The situation that occurred in the early phase of the world pandemic has posed unique challenges in multiple areas ranging from rostering, infectious control measures to nurturing human capital while maintaining and delivering services. This pandemic has also reinforced the role of Emergency Physicians in public health management.
