Dr Aliza Mohamad Yusof is practising as an Anaesthesiologists for more than a decade with special interests in Intensive Care Medicine. She underwent training in Intensive Care Medicine via the Malaysian Fellowship and the European Society of Intensive Care Academy programme.
She is involved in ODISSEA, a program that specialises in organ donation strategies in Southeast Asia. On top of her publication, she is also awarded with two first prize presentation awards in the 2016 World Congress of Anaesthesiologists. Her main interests are airway management, strategy in mechanical ventilation, COVID-19, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and organ donation.
This webinar highlights the use of continuous cardiac output (CCO) monitoring as part of early directed goal therapy in assessing fluid responsiveness and decision of vasoactive prescription in managing patients with septic shock. The type of dynamic tests combined with CCO monitoring as part of the fluid assessment will be discussed. A very concise summary of the standard CCO method using the trans-pulmonary technique, pulse contour analysis and pulse indices are highlighted. The finale of the presentation includes on a short discussion on how to put all the fluid and vasoactive therapies together in managing septic shock patients.
