Education in health profession continues to embrace simulation to help augment clinical experience and target skills and behaviours that are difficult to acquire through traditional training. Simulation programs are mainly attractive to medical educators.
Clinical practitioners often ask what more can be done with simulation apart from training competencies and assessing proficiencies. The presentation will explore the role of emergency medicine clinician utilizing simulation to bridge the gaps present within the service of emergency department. Consistent with the crux of emergency service of maintaining patient safety, the presentation will also discuss the role of simulation in Quality Improvement (QI)
