Raja Eileen Soraya is a partner and head of Raja, Darryl & Loh’s healthcare practice group. Her practice currently focuses on medico-legal & dento-legal matters as well as reputational management and media law. Eileen is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is a member of the Honourable Society of Inner Temple and was called to the Bar of England and Wales prior to being admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Eileen is the immediate Past President of the Medico-Legal Society of Malaysia.
This session will discuss how established medico-legal principles are likely to be applied when dealing with the unprecedented challenges of practising emergency medicine during the Covid-19 pandemic. The issues discussed will include the standards of care, consent and the extent of any possible immunity provisions.
